Anne Bisson - Jazz singer

Vincent Bélanger - Cellist

Anne Bisson studied at the Music Faculty of the Université de Montréal where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in piano (classical). She also pursued singing lessons with soprano Gail Desmarais. After her studies, Anne toured and performed rock and pop music with such bands as famed Canadian rockers Chilliwack. Soon she developed a stronger feeling for jazz and began to write lyrics and songs for herself. Furthering her knowledge she took jazz lessons from one of the best jazz pianists in Quebec, Jean- François Groulx.

Anne is well-known in the audiophile world as she frequently participates in seminars and performances throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.

A passionate and energetic musician, Vincent Bélanger instills in all of his various projects an original artistic vision, filled with warmth and depth. Born into a prominent family of musicians  many of whom have contributed greatly to develop the music scene in Quebec. Canada, he began studying the piano at age 5. Vincent graduated with a Diploma of Music Studies, took master classes from Yo-Yo Ma, studied under Catalan master Lluis Claret and renowned French cellist Yvan Chiffoleau.

Since 2006, Vincent has composed music for the theater and film. He has also released several recordings including his latest 2017’s “Bélanger Pure Cello“.

XLO Electric celebrated its 25 year anniversary in 2016. We commemorated this special occasion with the release of an extraordinary recording called “Bélanger Bisson Conversations”. Spontaneous, eclectic, and modern; “Bélanger Bisson Conversations” fuses the considerable talents of classical cellist Vincent Bélanger and jazz pianist and singer Anne Bisson to form a bond that merges two different music styles into a colorful set with vocals sung in French, English and Mandarin. A unique collaboration with Chinese poetess Fung Sou collaborates with Bélanger and Bisson to create a memorable conversation between East and West, jazz and classical. XLO Electric commemorates our 25th anniversary with a recording that is as unique as XLO cables themselves. Clear, neutral, engaging… three characteristics that of our products that align beautifully with the warm tone of Bélanger’s cello and Bisson’s crystal clear voice and smooth piano playing. And now XLO “the best cables in the world” proudly announces this exclusive collection of songs specially written to celebrate our silver anniversary and share the joy of collaboration and communication with the world.
